Shannon Schafer, SVP Fashion & Beauty, Buckingham Consulting

Shannon has a track record growing large businesses at iconic brands.  She led the Nordstrom Fashion Office, creating the strategy and fashion direction for over $15.5 billion of retail revenue, including Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Trunk Club, and Haute Look.  As an industry expert, Shannon represented the Nordstrom brand on TV and in publications such as Vogue, Elle, and GQ resulting in millions of impressions and brand awareness. 

Prior to Nordstrom, Shannon has 14 years experience leading design, product development, and licensing teams to drive profit while elevating product. Highlights include building an $80 Million global wholesale business at Calvin Klein, $315 Million of licensed product at Levi’s, and $420 Million of accessories and footwear at Old Navy.  Shannon architected Target’s first ever non-apparel design team, resulting in $370 Million at retail.  

She has a passion for constructing inspiring creative direction that ultimately results in business growth and brand development.

She has a B.S. in Apparel Merchandising and Design, and a Certificate in Journalism from Indiana University.  She holds a Certificate in Circular Fashion from Wageningen University in the Netherlands and a Certificate in Sustainable Finance and ESG Investing from NYU, Stern. She also earned a degree in Holistic Nutrition from Bauman College in Berkeley, California.
